HYUNDAI i30 Excitement!*#@!

Firstly, I made a scarf on my knitting machine for my Mother in Law's Birthday.

Nothing like last minute and stress . . . I was doing the last finishing touches 15 minutes B4 heading out to dinner to celebrate!

BUT . . . the BIG news around here is

I bought a new car!

The "bells and whistles" excite me, every time I sit in it.

I didn't ever think I'd get a brand new car . . .
but I did
No more family car - just a little one for me me me

. . . and it's cylamen time again

I had a go with this, with some old oil pastels

It was lots of fun
but. . .

 

 

I 'kinda' went a bit far . . . couldn't help myself
Still looks good though

I've been knitting

 

 

 

. . . and as an end of term treat, Harry and Hermione came to school today and gave a little presentation.  The kids loved it, and so did they!

 

A Day in our Capital

It was up early this morning on a Saturday to take a drive to our Capital City:
MARVELOUS MELBOURNE

Miss Flowergarden had an interview for a Japanese Scholarship.
It was very exciting and she practised her Japanese all the way there.

After that, we just wandered around the city for a bit, and this is some of what my eyes did see

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then it was off for some Ice Skating.  I was shocked at how I'd aged since last time I'd done it.  I remember it being effortless, but I was holding onto the edge for dear life!  I even took a massive hit to the head before the end (ouch!).

Despite all, we had a lovely day out!

A Perfect Sunday that was really a Monday

My personal brief this morning . . .

was to play in my sewing room!

I've been loving what I've seen here, and had to have a little play

 

 

 

Then a mini quilt "moved me"

 

Thanks to Queen Elizabeth for giving us a holiday for her birthday.

A Blank Day

In the midst of Report Writing for School . . .

I needed some time for ME - some time to create and make

I was going a little crazy

I just played in my sewing room today,

Found projects and possibilities . . .

Made a new skirt . . .

 

 

Finished some unfinished business . . .

 

 

. . . and tomorrow it's back to Report Writing.
Just a little escapism, and time to catch my breath and remember
that life is good.
